The mountain-climbing vice-president of fYRoM’s Parliament, Antonio Milososki, again provoked Greece on Monday by showing a photo of himself at the Naselba Caska site with the flag of the Vergina Sun.
Skopje provocations in ruling party rally
Flags bearing the 16-beam Vergina Sun and maps of the so-called “Great Macedonia” were held by governing party VMRO-DPMNE supports in Skopje, during an anti-rally held and attended by PM Nikola Gruevski. The Skopje hands of the attending crowd pointed to the Skopjan “dream”. Three fingers for Vardaris, the Aegean Sea, and Pirin, and the “O” from the word “Obedineta” which means United.

New clues found in Philip II of Macedon tomb
Fourth-century BC King Philip II of Macedon rode a lot, suffered from sinusitis and was injured in his left arm by a sharp object, archaeologists investigating remains found in the tomb believed to be his in Vergina, northern Greece, said on Friday.

Greek MPs ask for Alexander statue in central Athens
A group of 24 conservative New Democracy MPs on Tuesday submitted a joint appeal in Parliament for a bronze statue of Alexander the Great to be erected in a central spot of the capital.
The statue in question, by the late artist Yannis Pappas, was purchased by the Culture Ministry in 1993 and given to City Hall but it has yet to go on public display.
