Kosovo Coalition Divided over Criminalising Defamation
A draft law to recriminalise defamation, proposed earlier this year and strongly opposed by journalists and civil society groups, has divided candidates from the coalition between the Kosovo Democratic Party, PDK, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, AAK and the Initiative for Kosovo, NISMA, which are running together in the June 11 polls.

Kosovo Opposition Queries Size of Electoral Roll
Adnan Rrustemi, member of the Central Election Commission, CEC, from the opposition Vetevendosje party, told BIRN that his party believes the list of voters in Kosovo contains serious defects and inaccuracies, such as faulty addresses and names of dead persons.
The voting list also includes over 600,000 persons, which is more than the total number of residents with voting rights.

Kosovo's ex-Warriors Team up in Big Coalition
A grand coalition between the Democratic Party of Kosovo, PDK, led by Kadri Veseli, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, led by Ramush Haradinaj and Fatmir Limaj's initiative for Kosovo, NISMA, was agreed on Tuesday night - minutes before the deadline set by the Central Election Commission, CEC, to establish pre-election coalitions expired.

Early elections to be held in Kosovo "on June 11 or 18"
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has said, after holding separate meetings with party leaders, that early elections in Kosovo will be held on June 11 or 18.
He said that most parties agreed the date should be June 11.

Kosovo Delays Border Deal Vote Until Wednesday
Kosovo's government has postponed sending the controversial agreement on border demarcation with Montenegro to parliament for a vote until Wednesday.
Prime Minister Isa Mustafa delayed the vote after a meeting with the speaker of parliament, Kadri Veseli, and the US ambassador Greg Delawie.
