Kosovo Cracks Down on Property Usurpers
Police in Kosovo arrested six people as part of an investigation into an alleged land scam that cost the state 30 million euros, the prosecution office said on Wednesday.
Azem Syla, a prominent legislator from the ruling party, was the alleged leader of the fraud which is believed to have involved 40 people, the EU police mission in Kosovo said.

Pristina: Seselj to be arrested if he comes to Kosovo
Albanian language media in Pristina are reporting today that "the Kosovo Interior Ministry decided to arrest Seselj if he comes to Kosovo."
The koha.net website said that the decision was sent to all police chiefs and commanders and that they are "required to implement it strictly."
Activists Interrupt Kosovo President's Inauguration
Opposition Vetevendosje activists threw tear gas to interrupt the inauguration of Kosovo's new President, Hashim Thaci, in Pristina on Friday.
The inauguration ceremony on the Skedenderbeu boulevard was briefly halted while the police arrested some of the perpetrators.
Kosovo Fails To Lift Blockade On Serbian Trucks
Delegations from Serbia and Kosovo meeting in Vienna on Monday failed to resolve a blockade on Serbian trucks that is costing Kosovo some 100,000 euros daily, according to customs officials.
"Difficult negotiations and efforts to reach an agreement... yielded no result despite the efforts of the EU," Kosovo's Ministry for Transport said following the meeting.

Kosovo Closer to Lifting Blockade on Serbian Trucks
The Serbian government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija on Thursday said Kosovo had agreed to lift its ban on the entry of Serbian trucks carrying certain substances.
However, the authorities in Kosovo on Friday warned that nothing has been decided as yet and there were contradictory reports about the state of play on the border.
Kosovo Opposition Put Street Protest on Hold
Following a meeting of leaders of the opposition coalition on Friday, consisting of Vetevendosje, Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, AAK and the Initiative for Kosova, NISMA, a protest planned for Saturday againt Hashim Thaci's election as President has been called off.

Kosovo Holds Tear Gas-Free Assembly Session
MPs from Kosovo's three opposition parties, Vetevendosje [Self-Determination], The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, AAK, and Nisma [Initiative for Kosovo] boycotted Tuesday's assembly session, allowing for the first session in months to be held in normal conditions, without being interrupted by tear gas.

Kosovo Opposition MPs Repeat Election Demand
Opposition politicians in Kosovo have repeated their demand for early elections, saying this alone will solve the country's acute political crisis.
Rexhep Selimi, an MP from the opposition Vetevendosje [Self-Determination] movement, said the government had lost its legitimity and even its legality.
