On Thursday, the European Commission filed three lawsuits against Bulgaria at the EU Court of Justice for failing to apply European legislation properly. Two cases concern non-compliance with European requirements, and one involves incorrect application.

The Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA) with the Council of Europe on Thursday published a report in which it urges Bulgaria to improve access to justice and compensation for victims of human trafficking.

Despite the international conventions it has signed, Serbian courts blatantly violate victims' rights to reparations, Belgrade rights group says in a report.

NGO: Victims must achieve right to compensation

BELGRADE -- The government should incorporate measures to realize the rights of victims of human rights violations committed in the 1990s in its EU membership negotiations.
