Troicki defeated in Madrid first round

MADRID - Serbia's Viktor Troicki was defeated 6-4, 6-4 by Andrey Kuznetsov of Russia in the first round of the Madrid Masters tennis tournament on Monday.

Kuznetsov won after 80 minutes of play to chalk up his first victory in three matches against Troicki.

The Russian will face four-time champion Rafael Nadal in the second round.

Troicki through to Barcelona third round

BARCELONA - Serbia's Viktor Troicki is through to the third round of the Barcelona ATP tennis tournament after beating Hungary's Marton Fucsovics 6-4, 1-6, 6-0 on Wednesday.

After unexpectedly losing a set to the little-known qualifier, Troicki justified the role of favourite and will next face Italy's Fabio Fognini, who defeated Mikhail Youzhny of Russia 3-6, 6-0, 6-1.

Bautista Agut Triumphs in First Edition of Sofia Open

Spain's Roberto Bautista Agut won the first edition of Garanti Koza Sofia Open which was held in the Bulgarian capital last week.

In the final played on Sunday, first seeded Agut defeated Serbian Viktor Troicki, who was seeded second, with 6:3, 6:4.

The match attracted 8500 spectators in the Arena Armeec hall and lasted one hour and twenty minutes.

Grigor Dimitrov Reaches Final of Apia International After Beating Muller

The highest ranking Bulgarian male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov reached the final of the Apia International tournament which is taking place in Sydney.

In a match from the semifinals played on Friday, Dimitrov defeated Gilles Muller from Luxembourg with 6:2, 7:6 (4).

The highest ranking Bulgarian male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov proceeded on Thursday to the quarterfinals of the men's singles competition of the Brisbane International tournament.

In a match from the second round which lasted nearly three hours, Dimitrov defeated Viktor Troicki from Serbia with 5:7, 7:6, 6:2.

Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov Reaches Semifinals of Men's Doubles in Brisbane

The highest ranking Bulgarian male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov reached the semifinals of the men's doubles competition of the Brisbane International Tournament.

In the second round, Dimitrov and his Japanese partner Kei Nishikori defeated Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut from France with 4:6, 6:1, 10:7 in a match which lasted 70 minutes.

Bulgaria's Dimitrov Defeats Gilles Simon for 1st Time in Brisbane

After a successful doubles game in Brisbane, Bulgaria's top male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov scored a tough victory against Gilles Simon (France).

This is his first win over Simon out of five times the two have faced each other.

Dimitrov thus made it into the second round of Brisbane International tournament, by defeating the French player 6:3, 7:6 (10).
