Ljubljana – Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu will be in Slovenia on Monday and Tuesday, discussing her country’s expectations about joining the EU and NATO, dialogue between Belgrade and Prishtina, and the situation in the Western Balkans.

Kosovo's prestigious Sunny Hill musical festival will be held at "its own home town" of Pristina in August, after earlier announcing that it would be moved to Albania in a dispute over its location.

Music fans who have booked accommodation in Kosovo's capital Pristina to attend the Sunny Hill festival will have to change their plans, as Albania's capital, Tirana, has surprisingly become the last-minute location for the event.

"Knowing the importance of this process, the Office of the President has begun to review and analyse in detail all the documentation received, all the facts and circumstances related to this process," Bekim Kupina, a presidential media adviser, told BIRN.

Last week, Kosovo police were attacked several times close to the border with Serbia, where a road used for smuggling contraband goods was recently closed.

Belgrade officials have rejected Pristina's claims that the attacks came from Serbian territory, while the European Union has warned against "unnecessary speculation that may add to further tensions".

The European Union has expressed concern about the election of Blerim Isufaj as Kosovo's new Chief Prosecutor on Wednesday, and local civil society organisations have urged President Vjosa Osmani to consider the evident shortcomings of the process when she decides to decree the decision or not.

The director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovi, says that the statement of Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani that Pristina has fulfilled its obligations in the agreements is absurd.

According to the EU office in Pristina, they will stay in Kosovo and Metohija from today until Wednesday, February 2.

Belgrade – President Borut Pahor will visit Serbia on Sunday and Kosovo on Monday as he prepares for the next summit of the Brdo-Brijuni Process, a regional cooperation initiative. He is scheduled to meet Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić today, and Kosovar President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti tomorrow.

He believes that this political faction deeply disappointed the citizens, claiming that the proof of that is the result after the first round of local elections in Kosovo and Metohija.
Abdixhiku believes that the Prime Minister of the so-called Kosovo and the leader of the Self-Determination, Albin Kurti, realized little of what was promised.
