High-end automaker Volvo has said that the global supply chain bottlenecks caused it to sell fewer cars, but that its profitability rose as it was able sell vehicles at higher prices.
Chinese-owned Volvo Cars said the global shortage of semiconductors caused sales and profits to fall in the last quarter of the year.

Prva TV learned unofficially that an explosive device was placed under a Volvo, that was parked at the time of the accident.

Volvo Announces that it will Put Electric Trucks on the Road This Year
This week, Volvo is adding itself to the list of many truck manufacturers working on electric trucks.
The Swedish group says that it will bring the electric trucks to the road as soon as this year and start selling them next year.
Claes Nilsson, President Volvo Trucks, commented on the announcement:
Volvo Halts Joint Tank Project With Russia
Volvo said that it had paused a joint project with Russia to build an armoured infantry fighting vehicle, citing concerns about the Ukraine crisis, reports The Local.
Renault Trucks Defense, which is owned by the Swedish truck manufacturer, in February 2013 signed an agreement to develop a combat vehicle with Russia's state-owned Uralvagonzavod.
