Belgrade Appeals Court Starts Trial in Murdered Journalist Case
Former head of Serbian State Security Radomir Markovic repeated to the appeal court that he is not guilty for the 1999 murder of the Serbian journalist and editor Slavko Curuvija.
Markovic claimed that Curuvija was only put under state surveillance "due to his contacts with foreign intelligence agencies …The task of every state security is to establish the nature of these contacts".

According to Vecernje Novosti, they are Foreign Minister PM Ivica Dacic, Minister for Innovations Nenad Popovic, Deputy National Assembly President Vladimir Marinkovic, Ministry of Health State Secretary Meho Mahmutovic, and Danica and Vuk Draskovic.
Vucic recalls Serbia's ambassador to Britain
President Aleksandar Vucic has signed a decree to recall Serbia's Ambassador to the United Kingdom Ognjen Pribicevic.
The reason for this has not been officially announced, Tanjug reported on Thursday.
Sources at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs "interpreted" the decree as "a part of standard procedures, as Pribicevic's mandate is expiring this year."

SPO leader wants Serbia to recognize "Kosovo reality"
The leader of the Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO), Vuk Draskovic, believes that Serbia should "accept and recognize the Kosovo reality."
He also wants Martti Ahtisaari's 2007 plan to be accepted as "the basis for the continuation of the Brussels dialogue."
SPO leader says he supports Vucic for being pro-EU
SPO leader Vuk Draskovic said on Thursday that he supports the current Serbian prime minister, Aleksandar Vucic.
The reason, he told TV Pink, where he was a guest on the anniversary of the March 9, 1991 demonstrations in Belgrade, is that unlike many others, Vucic is conducting a pro-European policy.
