"Heating should rise in price by 20% from the New Year." This was stated by the executive director of Toplofikacia Sofia, eng. Alexander Alexandrov on bTV.
Parts of Sofia Temporarily without Hot Water
Fourteen districts of the capital Sofia will be temporarily without hot water for a period between 7 and 10 days after August 2.
The reason is a test of the gas pipeline to TPP-East and repairs on the pipes in the residential areas in the East of Sofia and part of the centre.

Industrial production up by 16.9 pct during first five months of 2021
Industrial production went up by 16.9% as gross series and by 17.5% as series adjusted for business days and seasonality during the first 5 months of the year, compared with the similar period of 2020, according to a press release sent by the National Institute of Statistics (INS) to AGEPRES on Tuesday.
State Regulator KEVR Increased Prices of Electricity and Heating
Prices of heating and hot water are going up as of July 1, between 4% and 23% for the various district heating companies. For Sofia, the increase is by 20%, the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) said.
The increase in the prices of electricity for households is on average by 4.4%.

5 People Died in a Russian Hotel after it was Flooded with Boiling Water (VIDEO)
Five people were killed that night after a hot water pipe exploded in a small private hotel in the Russian city of Perm and flooded a basement hotel room with boiling water, the regional investigative committee said, Reuters and TASS reported.
All victims were guests of the hotel.
Three more people with severe burns have been hospitalized.

Protest in front of KEVR Building Because of the Electricity, Heating and Hot Water Price Increase
Citizens are gathering in protest in front of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (KEVR) building because of the rise in electricity, heating and hot water prices.
According to protesters, the increase is illegal and will affect the prices of all products and services.

KEVR Will Have Meeting on the Gas Price in Bulgaria
The Energy and Water Regulatory Commission will hold an open gas price meeting for the third quarter.
At the request of Bulgargaz, the price may fall slightly - by about 1%. This will affect suppliers and customers connected to the gas network.
By the end of June, KEVR should also announce the price of electricity and heating. However, an increase is expected for them.
Toplofikatsia Sofia Stops the Heating in Sofia
Starting today, heating is halted in the capital, reported by Toplofikatsia Sofia, quoted by Darik News.
For this reason, the company urges customers to provide access to all dwellings, including apartments where the heaters are not used or removed.
