Suspect of arson attack on Müjdat Gezen Arts Center in Istanbul arrested
The suspect of the arson attack on the Müjdat Gezen Arts and Culture Center in Istanbul's Kadıköy district was arrested a day after his release on Feb. 23.
The suspect was detained again on Feb. 23 hours after he was released on condition of judicial control.
Suspect in Louvre attack wanted to harm paintings, avenge Syrian people-source
A man arrested by police for attacking soldiers with a machete outside the Louvre museum in Paris last week said he wanted to damage paintings and "avenge" the Syrian people, a judicial source said on Feb. 7.
Abdullah Reda al-Hamahmy confirmed his name, his age of 29 and his Egyptian nationality to investigators after initially refusing to speak, the source said.
French soldier shoots man shouting “Allahu Akbar” at Louvre
A French soldier guarding the Louvre in Paris has shot and seriously injured a man carrying a knife who shouted “Allahu Akbar”, police say.
The attacker is said to have been trying to enter an underground shopping area outside the museum.
Reports say he was carrying either suitcases or a rucksack, but no explosives have been found.
The Belgium police raids houses in Brussels looking for jihadists
The Belgium police raided eight houses in the area of Brussels under the wider counter-terrorist operation. The federal prosecutors announced that these investigations are not connected with the November 2015 attacks in Paris with the 130 victims or the attacks of last March with the 32 victims.
Belgium: Two suspects apprehended over Paris & Brussels attacks
The Belgium Polce arrested two more people during the investigation of the Paris attack in November 13th 2015.
According to the county’s authorities, the police arrested a man and a woman. The same sources stated that they are accused of providing Halid El Barkaoui with forged documents that he later used for the Paris attack.
SPAIN: Gunman opens fire in supermarket screaming “Allahu Akbar”
The gunman reportedly fired six shots before an off-duty policeman bravely intervened.
The attacker walked into the Mercadona shop in the As Lagoas district of Ourense and fired six shots into the air.
However, the gunman was stopped by off-duty policeman Carlos Perez, 38, who luckily was passing by as the attack was taking place.
Schengen Security Secured After Amri?
Anis Amri who ran over 12 people with a truck at a Christmas bazaar in Berlin, crossed Brussels while fleeing the crime scene, reported Belgium's Prosecutor's Office, reported BNR.
Amri was recognised from video tapes on the Northern railway station in the Belgian capital.

Manhunt for Berlin Attacker after IS Claims Responsibility
German police are looking for the perpetrator of a lorry attack which left 12 dead in Berlin on Monday.
Security has been beefed up across the city since the incident.

State of emergency to be extended until July 15 in France
French Prime Minister Bernard Cazeneuve says 17 attacks have been thwarted in the country so far this year and he is asking Parliament to extend the state of emergency until July 15.
