The country's national flag carrier Turkish Airlines has warned all of its staff on posts shared on their personal social media accounts in a bid to escape potential harm to the company, Doğan News Agency reported on June 13.

The co-partner of Turkey's global Nusr-et chain of grill houses, Nusret Gökçe, who recently became a social media phenomenon for his meat-cutting and salt-drizzling skills, voted early on April 16 in Istanbul.

Gökçe shared a photo of him casting his vote into the ballot box with his salt-drizzling move. A number of fans left comments under the photo.     

If the battle to become Serbia's next president was decided in terms of online activity, spoof character Ljubisa Preletacevic "Beli", played by Luka Maksimovic, would win hands down.

That is the verdict of research carried out by a Belgrade-based NGO, Share Foundation, which shows thatBeli notched up almost 600,000 interactions on his posts on his official Facebook page.

Thousands of social media users sparked a viral campaign to find her and nicknamed her "Ayşe Teyze" (Aunt Ayşe).

The U.S. Embassy in Turkey has shared remarks by President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry praising press freedoms on its official Twitter account, using the hashtag #ÖzgürBas?n - #FreePress in Turkish.
