Fire breaks out in Epirus; Severe fire risk forecast for Monday
A wildfire broke out Sunday in a forested area in Tsamantas, Thesprotia in the northern region of Epirus.
Strong firefighting forces have been deployed to the scene, including ground crews, five aircraft and a helicopter.

A wildfire that began early Saturday in Chionochori in the northern region of Serres is burning forest land in a remote area.
The blaze is being fought by 35 firefighters, five trucks, three ground teams and a helicopter.
Wildfire in Rhodes brought under partial control
A wildfire that broke out earlier on Tuesday in the Lindos area of Rhodes island has been brought under partial control, the fire service announced.
The fire had been burning low vegetation, while local residents received a 112 message to be on alert.

Very high risk of fire for four islands on Wednesday
Authorities have issued a fire warning for four islands on Wednesday.
Α map published by Civil Protection showed Samos, Ikaria, Chios and Psara are at very high risk of wildfires, ranking at 4 out of a maximum of 5. Several other regions of the mainland, mainly Central Macedonia, Attica, Evia, Western Greece and parts of the Peloponnese are at increased risk.
Greece fights 32 wildfires in 24 hours
Over the past 24 hours, 32 wildfires have broken out across Greece. The Fire Service reports that 29 of these fires have been contained in their initial stages, while efforts continue to control the remaining three.

Wildfire on the outskirts of Thessaloniki, homes under threat
A wildfire broke out Friday afternoon on the outskirts of the northern city of Thessaloniki, burning through dry grass and approaching residential areas, local websites reported.
Eight firefighters and four vehicles are on the scene in the area of Kato Peraia, with aerial units also being mobilized to help control the blaze and protect nearby homes.

A wildfire that broke out on Friday near Lagkadas in the northern port city of Thessaloniki is now partially under control.
The fire, which is burning low vegetation, still requires the attention of ground crews.

Wildfire in Koropi easing
A wildfire that broke out earlier on Thursday among low vegetation in East Attica was easing, sources from the Fire Service said.
There were 25 fire engines with 85-member crew, four teams of firefighters on foot, two firefighting aircraft and five water dropping helicopters remain in the area of Agia Marina in Koropi.
