Siemens and Turkish partners win billion-dollar wind energy tender
A consortium of German giant Siemens and Turkey's Türkerler and Kalyon Enerji holdings won a billion-dollar wind energy tender on Aug. 3, offering the lowest price to the state with $3.48 cents per kilowatt hour.
GE starts wind blade production in new Turkish factory
LM Wind Power, a subsidiary of GE Renewable Energy, announced the start of production at its wind turbine blade factory in Turkey on July 13.
The company invested $50 million in Turkey to establish the company, which will employ 450 technical personnel.

Turkey has announced a series of new subsidies to support renewable energy equipment production, as it raises its renewable energy targets.
Over 2,000 MW of new installed power in first half of 2015: Energy minister
A total of 2,084 megawatts (MW) of new installed power capacity came online in the first half of the year for around 10 billion Turkish Liras ($3.6 billion) of investment, Turkish Energy Minister Taner Y?ld?z has said.
Almost all of the new installed power was produced from renewable sources, he said.
