After a 50-year hiatus, the wolves have returned to national Mount Parnitha, the densely forested mountain range north of Athens. The wolf’s reappearance to the area is documented by the environmental organisation Kallisto.
Confirmation came through the use of an automatic infrared photo that remained active for six months. The machine recorded a pack of 7-8 wolves in the region.
