Blood donation actions, organized by Romanian Patriarchate and MApN on World Blood Donor Day
The Blood Transfusion Center "Colonel Professor dr. Nicolae Nestorescu'', located inside the Central Military Emergency Hospital Dr.Carol Davila, is hosting on Monday, in partnership with the Romanian Patriarchate, a blood donation activity to mark World Blood Donor Day.
World Blood Donor Day observed during pandemic
World Blood Donor Day this year once again will be held on June 14, but in the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It was established in 2004 to raise awareness of the need for safe blood, and to thank donors for their life-saving gift.

Today is World Blood Donor Day: Donate Blood - Save a Life Campaign in Bulgaria
Today is World Blood Donor Day. In this regard, the National Center for Transfusion Hematology organized a blood donation campaign. Everyone can donate blood from 08:30 to 11:00.
Today Is the World Blood Donor Day
On the occasion of the World Blood Donor Day - June 14, the Bulgarian Red Cross and the National Center for Clinical and Transfusion Hematology (NCTH) will award the long-time voluntary and gratuitous blood donors with honorary plaques. They were nominated by a commission involving representatives of the two institutions, based on proposals from across the country.

Blood donor registry about to launch, Health Ministry says
An online database of the countrys blood donors is due to be launched later this year, Health Ministry officials said Monday.
The so-called Blood Donor Registry, which will be ready to run in pilot mode by late November, will also keep a record of blood donation agencies operating around the country.
