By 2050: The Population in 61 countries, including Bulgaria, will Decrease

The world population reached 8 billion already at the end of last year. The UN predicts that between 2050 and 2060 there will be 10 billion people on the planet. After that, experts predict a decline or stagnation of the population. The fastest-growing population is in the poorest countries. In Bulgaria, as everywhere in Europe, the trend is downward.

INS: Romania's resident population, 19.328 million inhabitants on January 1, 2020

Bucharest, July 9 /Agerpres/ - Romania's resident population was 19.328 million inhabitants, on January 1, 2020, and the female population was the majority, comprising 9.868 million people, respectively 51.1 pct of the total, informs a press release of the National Institute of Statistics (INS), published on the occasion of World Population Day.

WHO Warns: By 2050 A Quarter of World Population Will Have Impaired Hearing

One in four of the world's population will suffer from hearing problems by 2050, the World Health Organization warned Tuesday, calling for extra investment in prevention and treatment.

The first ever global report on hearing said that the causes of many of the problems such as infections, diseases, birth defects, noise exposure and lifestyle choices could be prevented.
