Turkey's National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar on Nov. 23 met with Somalia's Chief of General Staff Brig. Gen. Odawa Yusuf Rageh in the capital Ankara.

Rageh arrived in Turkey at the invitation of Chief of General Staff Gen. Yaşar Güler.

Turkey's Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, Chief of General Staff Gen. Yaşar Güler, Land Forces Commander Ümit Dündar, Intelligence Chief Hakan Fidan have met at southern border province of Hatay to discuss latest developments in Syria's Idlib region.

Turkey's defense minister on Nov 9 visited southeastern Hakkari province where at least 25 soldiers were injured by an accidental explosion of defective ammunition. 

Hulusi Akar was accompanied by Turkish Chief of General Staff Yaşar Güler and the commander of Turkish Land Forces Ümit Dündar. 

Akar visited the soldiers at Hakkari State Hospital. 

Turkish Chief of Staff Gen. Yaşar Güler has met his American counterpart in the Polish capital of Warsaw, a U.S. military official said on Sept. 30. 

Turkish Land Forces Commander Gen. Yaşar Güler was appointed Chief of General Staff under the first presidential decree published in the official gazette early July 10, hours after Turkey officialy switched to an executive presidential system.
