Police probe online footage that appears to show forced detention
Greek police launched an investigation on Monday into footage that was posted online showing a young man being forcibly detained by Delta officers in the neighborhood of Exarchia, central Athens.
The probe was ordered by Alternate Minister for Citizens? Protection Yiannis Panousis after the video appeared on the Internet last Friday.
Works by noted Greek artists on display before auction
Ninety works of noted 19th and 20th Greek artists will go on auction in the coming period, with a first display of the works coming this weekend at the Grande Bretagne Hotel in central Athens, followed by an exhibition in London’s Coningsby Gallery from April 24 to May 1.
A third exhibition will take place on Cyprus at the Cypria gallery in mid May.

The 12-minute meeting between Greece's rock star, super cool Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis and US President Barack Obama may not have appeared to be that long in duration, but it was the longest meeting between a Greek minister and a US President. Also unprecedented was Varoufakis' appearance, true to his usual style he broke with protocol and appeared in front of Obama without a tie.
