Yesemek Quarry and Sculpture Workshop

The underground water system in the southeastern province of Gaziantep has recently been added to the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The Yesemek sculpture workshop on the hills of Gaziantep’s Karatepe is home to around 300 sculptures weighing between 500 kg and 15 tons, which lay scattered on its landscape.
