Those who participated in heated yoga sessions had significantly reduced depressive symptoms than those who did not in a randomized controlled clinical trial of people with moderate-to-severe depression, according to new research.

UK yoga class mistakenly reported as 'mass killing'
U.K. police descended on a yoga class in central England after a member of the public spotted people lying on the floor and reported a "mass killing."
Officers rushed to the spot with car sirens blaring only to find members of the class quietly meditating.
9th International Day of Yoga celebrated near Bosphorus
The Consulate General of India in Istanbul has organized the 9th International Day of Yoga in Sarayburnu Park, near the Bosphorus.
In 2014, the United Nations, with the contributions of 177 countries, including Türkiye, adopted June 21 as the International Day of Yoga.
Sabancı Museum invites Yoga lovers
Organized by the Sakıp Sabancı Museum in collaboration with Cihangir Yoga, Müzede Yoga (Yoga in the Museum) celebrates its 10th anniversary on June 10 with an all-day program. The event will start early in the morning at SSM's Fıstıklı Terrace and continue at the Seed. Participants can register for Yoga classes at the Museum free of charge on the museum's website.

‘Yoga brings not only peace but also unity’
After the idea of an International Yoga Day was proposed to the U.N. General Assembly in 2014, 177 countries co-sponsored the resolution, as the ancient practice brings not only peace and harmony to people but also unity to countries, Indian Ambassador to Turkey Sanjay Panda has said.

You can now sip on an ice cold beer at a Vinyasa Yoga class in London. It’s called “Beer Yoga” and classes are hosted by Funzing UK in a traditional English pub.
They say it “complements the joy of drinking beer and the mindfulness of yoga.”
