There are already tests for students from 1st to 4th grade across the country, the Ministry of Education announced.

Bulgaria's specialised prosecutor's office, together with the State Agency for National Security and the State Agency for Combating Organised Crime, conducted procedural investigations on the territory of the cities of Sofia, Pleven, Blagoevgrad, Razgrad, Haskovo, Plovdiv and Lovech, the prosecutor's office announced on 18th of January.

Bulgaria has overcome the consequences of the economic crisis but this due to the faster development of only 9 regions, while the rest have remained "submerged".

Bulgaria's weather service has issued the strongest alert for a risk of wildfires in five of the country's twenty-eight regions.

The regions concerned are mostly in Nothern Bulgaria (Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo, Ruse and part of Silistra), along with Haskovo in the south.
