Hollywood stars Julia Roberts and Zendaya bookended inductions into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Oct. 19, giving a little stardust to an eclectic lineup that included pop icon Cher, heavy metal's Ozzy Osbourne, hip-hop soul queen Mary J. Blige, soft rockers Foreigner and 83-year-old soul icon Dionne Warwick.

Paramount Pictures' imaginary friend film "If" debuted atop the North American box office this weekend, taking in an estimated $35.0 million, industry watcher Exhibitor Relations reported on May 19.

Hollywood readies for a season with stars on the sidelines
Hollywood is at a standstill. Actors and screenwriters are months into a dual strike. Film sets are dark. But the movies are still coming or, at least, most of them. Even if that means some potentially solitary red-carpet walks.
"I'm hoping I'm not promoting the movie by myself," says Nia DaCosta, director of the upcoming Marvel movie "The Marvels" [Nov. 10].

Angus Cloud, breakout star of 'Euphoria,' is dead at 25
Angus Cloud, the actor who starred as the drug dealer Fezco "Fez" O'Neill on the HBO series "Euphoria," has died. He was 25.
Cloud's publicist, Cait Bailey, said Cloud died on July 31 at his family home in Oakland, California. No cause of death was given.
In a statement, Cloud's family said goodbye to "an artist, a friend, a brother and a son.
Venice to switch opening film due to strike
Luca Guadagnino's "Challengers," starring Zendaya, has been pulled from the Venice Film Festival, where it was to be the opening night film, due to the actors strike.

Zendaya tennis drama ‘Challengers’ to open Venice Film Festival
The Venice Film Festival is serving up one of the year's buzzier films as its opening night selection in Luca Guadagnino's "Challengers." The romantic tennis drama starring Zendaya, "West Side Story's" Mike Faist and "The Crown's" Josh O'Connor will have its world premiere out of competition at the 80th edition of the festival in September, organizers said Thursday.
