Arunovic/Mikec win Olympic gold for Serbia in 10 m air pistol mixed team shooting event
PARIS - Serbian sport shooters Zorana Arunovic and Damir Mikec won the gold medal in the 10 m air pistol mixed team event at the Paris Olympics on Tuesday.
In the final in Chateauroux, Arunovic/Mikec defeated the Turkish pair of Sevval Ilayda Tarhan/Yusuf Dikec 16-14.
Arunovic and Mikec took the first medal for Serbia at the Paris Olympics.
Greek shooter Anna Korakaki wins gold in ISSF world championship
Greece's Olympic medalist Anna Korakaki became the new air pistol champion at the 10m air pistol event at the 2018 World Shooting Championship in Changwon, South Korea, on Tuesday.
The Rio 2016 Gold and Bronze medalist beat Serbia's Zorana Arunovic with a tally of 241.1 points.
This victory means Korakaki qualifies for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Turkish wrestler Merve Kenger, who has clinched a bronze medal in the women's 53kg category at the European Games in Baku, has set her eyes on Olympic success.
Kenger beat her Moldovan opponent Natalia Budu on June 16 to clinch Turkey's first women's wrestling medal at the games.
Kenger told Anadolu Agency that she had hoped for a gold medal in Baku.
Serbia wins gold at world championships in Granada
GRANADA - The Serbian national shooting team won the gold medal in the women's 10m air pistol event at the world championships in Granada on Friday.
The Serbian team comprised Jasna Sekaric, Bobana Velickovic and Zorana Arunovic who secured the gold with a total score of 1,142 points.

Arunovic shoots her way to gold at Maribor World Cup
MARIBOR - Serbia's Zorana Arunovic won the gold medal in the 10m Air Pistol Woman event at the 2014 ISSF World Cup in Rifle and Pistol in Maribor, Slovenia, on Thursday.
Russia's Ekaterina Korshunova and Bulgaria's Antoaneta Boneva finished second and third, respectively.
This is the second World Cup gold medal for Arunovic, who pocketed her first one in Munich two years ago.
Fourth medal for Serbian shooters at World Cup
FORT BENNING - Serbia's shooter Andrija Zlatic won a bronze medal on Tuesday in the 50 m Pistol Men final at the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) at the U.S. army post of Fort Benning.
Zlatic achieved a final score of 170.6 points.

Ivana Maksimovic wins silver medal at ISSF World Cup
FORT BENNING – Serbia’s Ivana Maksimovic won the silver medal in the 10m Air Rifle Women event at the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) World Cup, held at the U.S. Army post of Fort Benning, on Saturday.
Maksimovic mounted the podium after ending up second in the finals with a total of 207.6 points.
