Bulgarian service provider Vivacom saw strong growth for its IPTV offering in the year to June. The company's IPTV base rose by 15.6% for the 12 months to June 30, and IPTV now accounts for 47.3% of its total of 456,000 pay TV subscribers.

Nova, the satellite pay-TV platform of listed telecoms company Forthnet, announced on Thursday the introduction of a pioneering service that allows its triple-play customers (Nova3play) to have full unlimited access to its library of movies, TV series, etc, for free by connecting their satellite receiver to their Internet router.

Fitch Ratings said it has expected that increased focus on bundled services within the Turkish telecoms market could lead to an increase in content costs, especially for live football broadcast rights in a note on Aug. 24.
