The Turkish parliament has officially announced a recess period until Oct. 1, according to a publication in the Official Gazette.

In a decision published in the Official Gazette, the Turkish parliament has announced the extension of its working period.

The assembly, which was scheduled to go on recess on July 1, will now continue its work.

The Greek stock market will resume trading on Thursday after a five-day Christmas recess, with its benchmark coming from six consecutive days of decline to start from 608.58 points.

Thursday's will be the first of the three remaining sessions till the end of the year.

The MPs went into recess, a Focus News Agency reporter said. According to the rules, each year the Parliament is in recess from December 22 to January 10. In their last working week this year, the lawmakers closed the ministry for the Bulgarian presidency and passed amendments to the anti-corruption law and the law on air quality.
