The Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) has alerted its regulated entities about advancing to the next phase of preparations for introducing the euro in Bulgaria, highlighting the crucial role of the non-banking financial sector.

BELGRADE - In the course of 21 business days in December 2023, a total of 21.5 mln payments were processed by the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) RTGS and clearing systems, the central bank said.

It noted that the RTGS system had accounted for 20.0 mln payments, or 93 pct of the total, with the clearing system accounting for 1.5 mln payments, or 7 pct of the total.

BELGRADE - The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) RTGS and clearing systems processed a total of 18.6 mln payments in the course of 18 business days in April 2023.

According to figures released by the central bank, the RTGS system processed 16.9 mln payments, or 91.2 pct of the total, while the clearing system processed 1.6 mln payments, or 8.8 pct of the total.

Dobroslav Bojovic, director of the Napred Razvoj company, has become the majority owner of Serbia's largest construction company, Energoprojekt.

In talks with Minister of Labor Aleksandar Vulin and President of the Confederation of Autonomous Trade Unions of Serbia (SSSS) Ljubisav Orbovic, Sertic underlined the need for countering prejudice concerning bankruptcy.
