Problems in Europe spell troubles for Turkish carmakers
Troubles in the European auto market are posing risks to Turkish carmakers, according to Cengiz Eroldu, the president of the Automotive Manufacturers' Association.
Eroldu noted that Europe is the largest export market for the Turkish auto industry.
Auto production rises 13 pct in first half
Local carmakers increased their production by 13 percent in January-June from a year ago to 735,231, according to data from the Automotive Manufacturers' Association (OSD).
The companies manufactured 462,401 passenger cars in the first half of the year, marking a 21 percent year-on-year increase.
