Top destination for yachts
Based on confirmed bookings for the whole of 2023 (data up to April 30), Greece remains the No 1 yacht charter destination worldwide, with a market share of 27% of all weekly bookings of yachts over 20 meters long, according to the International Yacht Company (IYC), which has an expanded network of 14 offices in nine countries and is one of the largest yacht brokerage companies worldwide.

Demand still strong for sailing holidays this summer
Renting boats became very popular at the height of COVID-19 for those who could afford it, as it offered isolated vacation, but even though the pandemic situation is improving, sailing holiday has not fallen out of favor, on the contrary, demand for boat rentals is only growing stronger, according to people from the industry.
160 boats sold at Istanbul Boat Show
A total of 160 boats were sold or ordered for a total of 50 million euros during the 35th International Istanbul Boat Show on Oct. 6-11.
Small sailboats and motor yachts, sold for between 64,000 and 150,000 euros, were the most popular products at the fair, which was held at the Pendik Marintürk Istanbul City Port.
