Parliament continues the discussion on the security situation after the two massacres
The MPs have four items on the agenda, and in addition to the report on the security situation, there is also the REM report on the supervision of commercial television with special reference to reporting in cases of violence, as well as the formation of the Inquiry Committee which should determine the facts and circumstances pertaining to the recent tragedies that have occurred.
Vucic confirms Gasic to be appointed new BIA chief
BELGRADE - Serbian PM and President-elect Aleksandar Vucic on Monday confirmed former defence minister Bratislav Gasic would be appointed new chief of the Security Information Agency (BIA), noting Gasic was a man of many qualities and that there should be no doubts about his loyalty to Serbia.

One former defense minister wins lawsuit against another
The First Basic Court in Belgrade has ruled in favor of Dragan Sutanovac in a defamation case he brought against Bratislav Gasic.
Gasic will have to pay RSD 200,000 to Sutanovac for damaging his honor and reputation when he said the latter eavesdropped on former Serbian President Boris Tadic. He will also have to pay the legal expenses of the trial.
FM comments on arrest of Serbians in Montenegro
Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic says Serbia has nothing to do with the case of the arrest of Serbian citizens in Montenegro.
Among those arrested was the former commander of the Gendarmerie Bratislav Dikic.

Gendarmerie's ex-commander on hunger strike in Montenegro
Former Serbian Gendarmerie commander Bratislav Dikic, who is currently detained in Montenegro, is on a hunger and thirst strike.
His lawyer Milan Petrovic said this on Tuesday.

PROKUPLJE - Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic on Monday voiced suspicion over accusations of terrorism levelled by Montenegro against a group of 20 Serbian citizens led by former Gendarmerie chief Bratislav Dikic that has been arrested in the country.

Former defense minister depicted in church fresco/PHOTO
Former Defense Minister Bratislav Gasic is depicted in a fresco painting in the Church of St. Jovan (John) built on Bagdala Hill, above the town of Krusevac.
The daily Blic reported this, noting that Gasic financed the construction of the church in question.
Man Blows Himself Up in Belgrade Bakery
An unidentified man blew himself up after detonating a hand grenade in a pastry shop in Belgrade on Monday.
No one else was injured in the incident, which occurred at half past noon in the centre of the Serbian capital, Serbia's interior ministry informed.
The pastry shop is owned by former Serbian Culture Minister Bratislav Petkovic,

National Assembly dismisses defense minister
The Serbian National Assembly late on Friday unanimously voted to dismiss Defense Minister Bratislav Gasic.
195 deputies that were present voted in favor of the proposal, submitted by Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic.
