Turkey's Kale Group, Rolls-Royce to set up joint venture to develop aircraft engines
Turkey's Kale Group will set up a joint venture company with U.K.-based engineering firm Rolls-Royce to develop civilian and fighter aircraft engines including for Turkey's planned TF-X fighter jet, the companies announced May 8 at a press meeting.
Kale will hold a 51 percent stake in the joint venture, while Rolls-Royce will have the rest, they noted.
Turkey's TAI says signs cooperation deal with Sikorsky for helicopter components
Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) has signed a cooperation agreement with Sikorsky, which is part of Lockheed Martin, to make various helicopter components, it said in a statement on Feb. 28, Anadolu Agency has reported.
Turkish Airlines names Bilal Ekşi as new chief
Turkish Airlines has appointed Bilal Ekşi, the head of Turkey's civil aviation authority, as its new general manager. Ekşi will replace Temel Kotil, who has been in the post since 2005.

Turkish Airlines CEO takes over as head of Aerospace Industries
CEO of Turkey's national carrier Turkish Airlines, Temel Kotil, has taken over as top official of the country's aerospace powerhouse Tusas Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI).
Kotil, who has been running THY since 2005, the airliner's most successful years of growth—took over TAI's top position from Muharrem Dörtkaşlı.
