Yemen child prodigy badly burned in wedding bombing
A child prodigy who once dreamed of leading a Yemeni space programme, 15-year old Abdullah al-Sanabani may now lose his leg and fingers after a suspected Saudi-led air strike on a family wedding killed his relatives and left him badly burned.
Germany defends export of tanks to Qatar
Germany defended on Oct. 23 a decision to allow the export of tanks and artillery to Qatar, saying it was confident the arms would not be used in a war in Yemen between government supporters and the Iran-allied Houthis.
The newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung reported on Oct. 23 that four German Leopard 2 tanks and three howitzers had recently been shipped from Germany, bound for Qatar.

UN: Six months of Yemen violence kills 505 children
Six months of violence in Yemen has left at least 505 children dead, 702 injured and more than 1.7 million at risk of malnutrition, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) said on Oct. 2.
"Across the country, nearly 10 million children -- 80 percent of the country's under-18 population -- need urgent humanitarian assistance," UNICEF said in a statement.

US will not stand by as Iran backs Yemen rebels: Kerry
The United States will not stand by while Iran provides support to Shiite rebels who have seized much of Yemen, Secretary of State John Kerry said on April 8.
"There have been -- there are, obviously -- flights coming from Iran. Every single week there are flights from Iran and we've traced it and know this," Kerry told PBS television in an interview.
Erdo?an swayed from one end to the other in 12 days
President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an, while in Iran, offered to become a mediator in Syria and in Yemen. He said, ?Iraq is a place we are shedding tears at. More than 100,000 people have died there up to now. History was destroyed. Similarly, 300,000 people have died in Syria. I am not interested in the Shiite or Sunni in here. I am interested in the Muslims.
