U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a state of emergency to ban U.S. companies from using security equipment manufactured by foreign telecom companies, a move that appears to be targeting the Chinese technology giant Huawei, AFP reported.
Vivacom Launches 4G Voice Service and Wi-Fi Calling in Bulgaria
Vivacom is extending its contract with Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) to deploy 4G Voice service and Wi-Fi calling. With the pre-integrated Fast VoLTE Launch solution, the service's deployment time has been significantly reduced. The agreement builds on Vivacom's existing Ericsson Evolved Packet Core network and adds virtual IP Multimedia Subsystem (vIMS).
The First 5G Network can be Launched the End of 2018.
US telecom AT & T announced plans to launch a "true 5G network" by the end of this year, CNET reported on Tuesday. With this, the operator hopes to overtake other industry competitors planning their 5G networks in 2019.

Nokia says in talks to buy all of Alcatel-Lucent
Finland's Nokia announced on April 14 that it was in advanced talks to purchase all of its Franco-American rival Alcatel-Lucent.
"Nokia and Alcatel-Lucent confirm that they are in advanced discussions with respect to a potential full merger, which would take the form of a public exchange offer by Nokia for Alcatel-Lucent," said a statement.
