South Africa’s Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) will hear the state’s appeal against the six-year murder sentence handed to Paralympic gold medallist Oscar Pistorius on Nov. 3, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said on Tuesday.

The state will argue that six years in jail is too lenient a sentence for the murder by Pistorius of Reeva Steenkamp, his girlfriend, in 2013.

President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an has two theses: The presidential system would uplift Turkey, as this is how developed countries are ruled, and there can also be a presidential system in unitary states. 

Oscar Pistorius was convicted of murder on Dec. 3 by South Africa's Supreme Court of Appeal, which threw out his earlier conviction on a lesser charge for shooting dead his girlfriend in 2013.
