Two Bulgarians who Won a Place in the Forbes Ranking for the most Successful Young Entrepreneurs
This year's edition of the "30 under 30" rating of the prestigious Forbes edition again has Bulgarian participation. This time they are Tatyana Mitkova and Velizar Shulev, who are the founders of the online complaint platform ClaimCompas. They enter into the 2019 edition precisely thanks to it.
Bulgarian MP Proposes Cut in Party Subsidies
Lawmakers are set to debate and vote a proposal by independent MP Velizar Enchev to change the amount of state subsidies allocated to Bulgarian parties per vote counted.
The move will come despite a Parliament decision not to change the actual amount, which is BGN 11 (EUR 5.5) per vote counted for every entity whose result is above 1% of the threshold.

Bulgarian Defense Minister Nikolay Nenchev has said authorities are planning to develop a national strategy to counter acts of hybrid warfare.

Bulgarian Parliament Approves Constitutional Amendments at Third Reading
Bulgarian Parliament approved at third reading on Wednesday the amendments to the constitution concerning the reform of the judiciary.
The amendments were overwhelmingly approved with 189 MPs voting in favour, 39 lawmakers against, while 1 abstained.
Bulgaria MP to Table Medical Cannabis Legalization Bill
Independent lawmaker Velizar Enchev has announced he is to put forward in September a bill that would allow for cannabis to be used for medical purposes.
He has warned that "thousands of people suffering in Bulgaria" could find a means to alleviate their pain if they are able to use a mouth spray and has underlined that legalizing smoking has never crossed his mind.
