Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslava Mahuchikh has broken Stefka Kostadinova's long-standing world record in the women's high jump. The 22-year-old Mahuchikh cleared 2.10 meters on her first attempt at this height during the Diamond League athletics tournament in Paris, as reported by BTA.

On August 30, 1987, at the Olympic Stadium in Rome, Stefka Kostadinova set a new world record by clearing 2.09m. Her previous best was also her own record of 2.08m, achieved in 1986 in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Olympic Glory Alley Opened in Bulgaria
An Alley of Bulgaria's Olympic Glory was officially opened on Friday in the town of Sveti Vlas on the Black Sea coast of the country, the Bulgarian Olympic Committee (BOC) said.
The alley, which is located on one of the busiest streets, contains the bas-reliefs of the 48 Bulgarian athletes who have won 52 Olympic gold medals for Bulgaria, the BOC said in a press release.
