On the occasion of International Family Day, teachers and students prepared a beautiful celebration for the honoured guests of the evening

The transition from a dictatorship to a democracy on July 24, 1974 is the epitome of what we call a "historic day," yet it has never been celebrated as a national anniversary. Even though the events of that day are always remembered in the press and in announcements from political parties, its actual celebration was quickly demoted to a social occasion of little importance.

The organizers invite partygoers to take their inspiration from the likes of "Nightmare on Elm Street," "Edward Scissorhands" and "The Corpse Bride," while the music will be strictly cheesy 80s Europop. Admission costs 5 euros and includes a complimentary beer or glass of wine.

The first ever Lost Athina Street Party will be taking place at the Handlebar in downtown Athens on Thursday, September 24, an opportunity to bid farewell to the summer and greet the new season with great food and cool beats.
