Turkey's unmanned aerial vehicles, flying in a large area stretching from the Evros (Meriç) River on the common border in the north to the Greek island of Meis, or Kastellorizo, have become a "headache," for Greece, Evangelos Yeorgusis, a retired Greek general, has said.
One soldier killed in Turkey's southeast clashes
A "maroon beret" soldier has been killed in clashes during an operation against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in southeastern ??rnak province, approximately one month after the Turkish Army deployed specially trained forces in the city's Cizre district.

12 PKK militants, police officer killed in raid in eastern Turkey
One police officer and 12 suspected militants of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) have been killed following a police raid on a house in the eastern province of Van's Edremit district.
Police special forces raided a two-story house at around 5 a.m. on Jan. 10, following a tip off that the people in the house were planning a large-scale attack in Van, authorities said.
