Turkey to import 400,000 tons of sugar
A presidential decree published in the Official Gazette has paved the way for the import of 400,000 tons of sugar at a time when sugar price in the domestic market is rising.
The decree stipulates that no customs duties will be levied on the 400,000 tons of sugar to be imported and that import licenses, which will be granted under the new decision, will be valid until Oct. 15, 2022.

Production of wheat drops by one fifth
BELGRADE – Serbia expects to produce 2.1 million tons of wheat in 2014, down 19.6 percent against last year, a result of inclement weather, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia (RZS) has said in a release.
Estimates show that raspberry production will amount to 62,202 tons, a decrease of 9.1 percent.

Preparations have begun for projects financed by UAE loan
