Suspects in foiled Passover attack remanded in pre-trial custody
Two men accused of planning a Passover attack on a Jewish center in central Athens have been remanded in pre-trial custody after appearing in court to answer to terrorism charges.
The two defendants, aged 27 and 29, confessed to forming and joining a terrorist organisation.
Turkish president shares Passover greetings
Turkey's president shared Passover greetings on March 27 with the country's Jewish community.
"I congratulate with my heartfelt feelings our Jewish citizens on the occasion of Pesach, one of the most important religious holidays of Judaism," President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said in a message shared by Turkey's Communications Directorate.

Turkey's president sent Passover greetings on April 8 to the country's Jewish community.
"On the occasion of Passover, I would like to emphasize once again that mutual love and respect in society is the foundation of peace and tranquility," said Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Complicated Calendar
"Nisan" is the word for the month of April in the Turkish language, which is the equivalent of the month of Nisan in the Hebrew calendar. The word has its roots in old Babylonian Assyrian Aramaic language, which is an ancestor of both Arabic and Hebrew. April is about renewal, about the new tastes of the spring, be it eggs or milk, or greens or lamb; it is all about what spring stands for.

Four Passover Seder questions
My friend and unofficial editor Esther, who was taken from her family and friends exactly a year ago, was half-Jewish. I would like to remember her, while at the same time celebrate Passover and Easter, by carrying an old tradition to my column.
