A Turkish man with Cerebral Palsy will head to the United States to study, with the help of his mother's encouragement and efforts.
Murat Can Çiçek won a scholarship from Google and will move to California with his mother, Nilgün Çiçek, 55.
Turkey's Fiba has not put Russian bank up for sale: Board member
The Fiba Group has not put its Russian banking unit Credit Europe Bank up for sale, Fiba board member Murat Özye?in said on Feb. 11, stressing that the company has "good relations" with the Russian government.
"We do not have any problems with Russia. We have not seen any pressure from Russia either. We are not planning to sell our banking unit," Özye?in said, as quoted by Reuters.
Finansbank's Q1 net profit more than doubles
Turkey?s Finansbank, owned by National Bank of Greece, said on Wednesday that its net profit in the first quarter more than doubled to 283 million lira ($106.83 million).
The bank?s net profit in the same period of 2014 was at 129 million liras, it said in a stock exchange filing.
