Thessaloniki: Festive shopping hours to begin on December 14 – Three Sundays with open stores
Starting on Saturday, December 14, the proposed holiday shopping hours for stores in Thessaloniki will take effect for the 2024 Christmas season. According to this schedule, on the Sundays of December 15, 22, and 29, stores will be allowed to open from the morning until 6:00 PM.
Festive season store opening hours announced
The proposed opening hours for shops for the 2024 Christmas holidays in Athens have been announced.
Starting on December 12, shops will be open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, the Attica Commercial Associations Federations said.
Shops will also be open on three Sundays over the season, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., on December 15, 22 and 29.

Stores to open on Sunday for summer sales
Stores will be open on Sunday as part of summer sales that began this week.
According to current regulations, stores can open voluntarily on the first Sunday of the sales period, with operating hours from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for shops and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. for large stores and shopping centers.

Summer sales begin in July
This year's summer sales will begin on Monday, July 8 and go on until August 31. Next Sunday, July 14, as on the first Sunday of every sales window, shops will be able to stay open, with the hours recommended by the Athens Traders Association being 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Shops must display the price of each commodity before and after the discount.

Deferred May Day to affect services, shops
Business will not be resuming quite as usual on Tuesday after the long Easter break, as the May Day holiday was deferred by a week in observance of Good Wednesday.
The measure will mostly affect state services, which will not be working today, but also banks and the Athens Stock Exchange.

Burgas Municipal Council Extends Year-Round Operation of "Green Parking Zone"
The municipal council of Burgas has opted to extend the operation of the city's "green zone" for paid parking throughout the entire year, with both summer and winter hours, according to reports from BNR. Previously, the zone, which covers streets near the Sea Garden, was only operational from May 1 to September 30.

The Athens Trade Association announced the proposed opening hours of Athens shops: from April 25 to Holy Thursday (May 2) from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday, April 28 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m, on Good Friday (May 3) from 1 until 7 p.m. and on Holy Saturday (May 4) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
