Dutch football legend Johan Cruyff had died of cancer at the age of 68. Cruyff was European footballer of the year 3 times and made his name with Ajax and Barcelona. he won three consecutive European Cups with Ajax from 1971, the first one being against Greek champions Panathinakos at Wembley stadium.

Dutch football legend Johan Cruyff passed away at the age of 68 in Barcelona on Thursday, the cause of his death being cancer.

Cruyff, who had been a heavy smoker until he underwent a heart surgery in 1991, was diagnosed with lung cancer in October last year.
