OPLENAC - Serbian Deputy PM and Defence Minister Milos Vucevic, Republika Srpska PM Radovan Viskovic and Serbian Minister of Labour, Employment and Veteran and Social Affairs Nikola Selakovic laid wreaths at Karadjordje's sarcophagus in the Church of St George at Oplenac, central Serbia, on Thursday on occasion of Serbia's Statehood Day.

Serbia Prepares for First Royal Wedding in Decades
Prince Mihailo Karadjordjevic, a grandson of King Alexander I, is preparing a Serbian church wedding after he and his wife married in a civil ceremony in London.
The wedding will take place on Sunday, October 23, at St George's Church in Oplenac, near Topola in central Serbia, where members of the Karadjordjevic dynasty are buried, and which is also the royal family's home region.

4 Bulgarian nationals seriously injured
SUBOTICA -- Four citizens of Bulgaria have been seriously injured while nine more received light injuries in a traffic accident that took place late on Wednesday.
The crash occured at 23:30 CET near Backa Topola in northern Serbia and involved a Bulgarian license plates bus.

BELGRADE -- The village of Šopići near Lazarevac was hit by a storm described as a tornado late on Wednesday, and a similar disaster affected another, in central Serbia.
26 persons were injured within ten minutes during the storm in Šopići, southwest of Belgrade.

Dejan Lazarevic (44) a fireman who lost his life saving lives of others was buried in Topola yesterday.
By his grave, all in tears there were his father Miroslav, mother Gorica, wife Dragana, son Nikola and daughter Nikolina.
