Male cat becomes mascot of champion women’s team
The players of ALG Spor, which has clinched the trophy in the Turkcell Women's Süper Lig, have dedicated the championship to a male British Shorthair cat named "Casper," that became the team's mascot through the season.
"Casper is the only male in the team," said goalkeeper Selda Akgöz who is also the owner of the 1-year-old cat.

Zorlu to host world famous names in new season
Istanbul's Zorlu Performance Arts Center (PSM) will host various Turkish and international artists in the new season starting from Sept. 1.
During a press conference held on Aug. 21 to launch the new season's program, Zorlu PSM Director Murat Abbas said the new season will be full of activities through Aug. 31, 2018.

Rock festival in Zeytinli
One of the notable festivals in Turkey, the Zeytinli Rock Festival, kicks off today in Zeytinli in the northwestern province of Balıkesir's Edremit district.
Teoman, Şebnem Ferah, Mor ve Ötesi, Hayko Cepkin, Pentagram, and Selda Bağcan & Boom Pam will be among the performers of the five-day festival that will continue until Aug. 27.

Women's film festival set to kick off in Ankara
The Flying Broom Women's Film Festival will be held in the Turkish capital city of Ankara for the 19th time between May 5 and May 12.
The festival opens on May 5 with three screenings at the K?z?l?rmak Movie Theater, while the official opening ceremony will be held on May 6.
