Erdoğan to attend NATO summit in Brussels on May 25
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will attend a NATO leaders' summit this week in Brussels, the president's office confirmed on May 23.
It said in a statement that Erdoğan would lead Turkey's delegation and join the opening ceremony for the new NATO headquarters on May 25.

The Turkish General Staff has announced that a NATO Boeing E-3A Sentry Airborne Warning & Control System (AWACS) aircraft has begun surveillance in Turkish airspace as part of assurance measures for Turkey, while noting that NATO's mission would be conducted "periodically" in the coming months.
