Golden Dawn trial starts in absence of leaders; adjourned to May 7
The long-awaited trial of the leadership and MPs of the neofascist Golden Dawn and dozens of party supporters began on Monday in a special courtroom at Korydallos Prison, western Athens, but GD?s leaders were conspicuous by their absence, and the proceedings were adjourned until May 7.
GD deputy granted deposition extension
Golden Dawn lawmaker Polyvios Zisimopoulos on Friday was granted an extension regarding his deposition in a probe into the alleged criminal activities of the ultra nationalist party.
Zisimopoulos, who is facing charges over belonging to and running a criminal organization, was ordered to appear before the two magistrates handling the case on June 27.

Parliament to vote on lifting immunity of more GD MPs
Parliament is to vote on lifting the immunity from prosecution of another four lawmakers of the ultra-right Golden Dawn, and a former MP, on Wednesday, House Speaker Evangelos Meimarakis has informed the magistrates heading a criminal probe into the party.
