Curtain raises in new Süper Lig season
Defending champions Trabzonspor will take on newcomer Istanbulspor in an away game on Aug. 5 in the opening game of the new Süper Lig season.
Trabzonspor won its first league title in almost 30 years in May and the Black Sea side's supporters were happy to see their team adding the Turkish Super Cup to its museum last week.

Final 90 minutes to decide Turkish Süper Lig champion
The 2021 Turkish Süper Lig champion will be decided on May 15 when a fierce battle between the major Istanbul clubs, Beşiktaş, Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, is completed.

Fenerbahçe on March 14 suffered a shocking 2-1 home defeat to cellar dweller Gençlerbirliği in the Turkish Süper Lig, increasing the pressure on coach Erol Bulut ahead of a crucial game against leader Beşiktaş next weekend.
Fenerbahçe's Czech defender, Filip Novak, broke the deadlock with a header in the 35th minute of the game.

Trabzonspor beat Başakşehir, pursue title quest
A title-pursuing Trabzonspor team defeated a Başakşehir squad that is having a tough time in the Turkish top football division with a 1-0 score on Feb. 19 evening.
The winning goal for Trabzonspor came by their right-winger Yusuf Sarı, who scored just two minutes after being subbed in.

Beşiktaş beat Kayserispor 2-0 to move top of Süper Lig
Beşiktaş moved to top of Turkish Süper Lig after beating Hes Kablo Kayserispor 2-0 on Jan. 3.
Georges-Kevin Nkoudou put the visitors ahead when he converted the penalty in the 89th minute.
The stoppage time strike from Ajdin Hasic secured a critical win for Beşiktaş in Kayseri.
Galatasaray’s perfect run ends with draw in Sivas
Defending champion Galatasaray's eight-game winning streak in the Turkish Süper Lig ended on March 8 night with a 2-2 draw at title hopeful Sivasspor.
The home side's Hakan Arslan scored the opening goal in the seventh minute, while Galatasaray responded with Colombian striker Radamel Falcao in the 14th minute and Algerian right winger Sofiane Feghouli in the 37th.

Galatasaray wins to climb up in league standings
Defending Turkish Süper Lig champion Galatasaray has moved a step closer to the top spot in the standings with a 3-0 win over city neighbor Kasımpaşa in a Week 21 game.
Adem Büyük scored a double for the visiting side in the 22nd and 41st minutes in the game on Feb. 9.
Having won its fifth league game in a row, Galatasaray climbed up to the fifth spot with 39 points.
