Turkey on Jan. 28 commemorated Özdemir Asaf, a unique poet of contemporary Turkish literature, on the 39th anniversary of his death.
Born in Ankara, the Turkish capital, on June 11, 1923, Asaf was known to be a man with gentle characteristics and love for life.

Turkey launches new short film to boost tourism
The Culture and Tourism Ministry has made a new promotional short film featuring several iconic sites from Turkey that will be aired on social media, the ministry said in a statement on Aug. 5.
Short film called "Home of Poetry" has been prepared within the scope of the country's global tourism and cultural campaign "Turkey Home" launched by the ministry in 2014.
