SNS-led coalition wins 45 seats in Novi Sad city assembly - commission
NOVI SAD - In Sunday's elections for the Novi Sad city assembly, a coalition around the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) won 52.55 pct of 100 pct of votes counted (87,791), or 45 seats in the legislature, the city election commission said in an official report on the preliminary election results.
Brnabic: With June 2 elections, we are demonstrating constructiveness
BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic said on Wednesday elections for the Belgrade city assembly and the remaining local polls in Serbia would be held simultaneously on June 2, in line with an opposition demand granted thanks to an appeal by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to demonstrate constructiveness so that "work can be continued after the elections."
Brnabic elected new Serbian parliament speaker
BELGRADE - The Serbian parliament on Wednesday elected Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) deputy leader and now-former Serbian PM Ana Brnabic as its new speaker.
One hundred and fifty-three of 158 MPs in attendance voted in favour and five voted against.

Vojvodina provincial assembly constituted
NOVI SAD - The new assembly of Serbia's Vojvodina province was constituted on Friday after the mandates of all its 120 members were approved.
The constitutive session was chaired by the oldest member of the assembly, Miroslav Spanovic.

Vucevic: SNS to request mandate to form next government
BELGRADE - Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Milos Vucevic said on Monday the party would request a mandate to form the next Serbian government and that, even though it would have a majority in the new parliament, the SNS would hold talks with potential coalition partners - the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians, Bosniak parties and the Socialist Party of Serbia.
