Nanotechnologists

The Nobel Prize award ceremony on Dec. 10 took place at the Stockholm Concert Hall in Sweden, on the anniversary of Alfred Nobel's death, while the Nobel Prize in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature and economic sciences were awarded to the laureates.

Jean-Pierre Sauvage has been invited by the French Institute to deliver a lecture in Athens as part of its cooperation with France's National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS). Sauvage will be speaking at the Athens Concert Hall on Tuesday, November 28, at 7 p.m. on the evolution of molecular technology.

Three European scientists won the Nobel Prize in chemistry on Oct. 5 for developing the world's smallest machines, work that could revolutionize computer technology and lead to a new type of battery.
